This Privacy Policy explains how Maralabs LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Maralabs", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects information you share with us through the Maralabs Design product and its website.

Maralabs Design is a separate product offering from any other service Maralabs LLC operates. This Privacy Policy applies to Maralabs Design only.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

When you submit our design inquiry form, email us, or call us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Industry / type of business
• Anything you share in the message field or in subsequent conversations

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, our hosting provider and analytics tools (where used) may collect:

• IP address
• Browser type and version
• Device type and operating system
• Pages visited, time spent, and referring website
• Approximate geographic location (city / country level)

Third-party services

Our site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When you visit, your browser makes a request to Google's servers, which may receive your IP address. We do not control Google's data handling — see Google's Privacy Policy.

Form submissions are processed by Netlify (our hosting provider). Netlify temporarily stores submission data so we can read it. See Netlify's Privacy Policy.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiry and follow up about a potential project.
• Provide and improve our design services if you become a client.
• Send service-related communications (project updates, invoices, scheduling).
• Understand how visitors interact with the website, in aggregate.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information to send unsolicited marketing without your prior consent. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. How we share your information

We share your information only with:

• Service providers we rely on to deliver our work (e.g., hosting, email, payment processors, analytics). These providers access your data only as needed to perform their function and are contractually required to protect it.
• Legal authorities, if required by law, regulation, court order, or valid government request.
• A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Maralabs, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Inquiries that do not lead to a project are typically retained for up to 24 months, then deleted. Active client records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period afterward for tax, legal, and audit purposes.

5. Your rights

Wherever you are, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to any legal retention requirements).
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Opt out of any marketing communications.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding personal information, including the right to know what is collected, the right to deletion, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA.

EU / UK residents

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR applies. The legal bases for processing your data are: (a) your consent, (b) the performance of a contract with you, or (c) our legitimate interests (e.g., responding to inquiries, improving our services). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

Australian residents

If you are located in Australia, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply. You may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.

6. Cookies & tracking

This website uses minimal cookies. We may use:

• Essential cookies — required for the site to function (e.g., remembering form session state).
• Analytics cookies — if and when we add analytics (e.g., privacy-respecting tools or Google Analytics with anonymized IPs), they help us understand aggregate visitor behavior. These cookies do not identify you personally.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the site works.

7. Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Maralabs operates internationally. By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own. We rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., service-provider contractual clauses) where required.

9. Third-party links

Our site may link to other websites (e.g., live demos, partner sites, social platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please review their privacy policies before sharing personal information.

10. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
